A man in his 50s has died in a single-vehicle crash near the NSW-Victoria border region last night.
Police say that at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, emergency services were called to Burraboi Road, near Wakool, about 250km north-west of Albury, following reports a vehicle had left the road and hit a tree.
“Upon arrival, officers from Murray River Police District found the driver deceased,” NSW Police said in a statement.
While the driver is yet to be formally identified, police believe the man is aged in his 50s.
“A crime scene has been established and diversions around the accident site are in place while officers from Murray River Police District and specialist officers investigate the circumstances of the crash.”
“A report outlining the circumstances of the man’s death will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.”
