A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting three teenage girls in two separate incidents in Sydney’s north last month.
Police say that on Saturday, October 3, a 16-year-old girl was waiting for a bus on the Pacific Highway, Berowra when she was approached by a man who allegedly pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head.
The second incident occurred on Monday, October 26, when a man travelling on the same train as two girls – aged 15 – disembarked at Berowra Railway Station.
The trio have walked to the exit and the man has allegedly assaulted both girls, punching one to the head and slapping the other in the face.
Police say the teens sustained minor injuries during the assaults.
Officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command arrested a 50-year-old man in bushland at Cowan today.
He was taken to Hornsby Police Station and was charged with common assault (x2) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Hornsby Local Court today.
