A man has been charged after an investigation into the death of a 56-year-old woman following a multi-vehicle crash in the state’s Western Region earlier this year.
About 11.30am on Thursday, July 22, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were called to Gollan Road, about 60km east of Dubbo, following reports a Holden and a Ford had collided.
The 56-year-old female driver and sole occupant of the Holden died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a 45-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Dubbo Hospital in a serious condition. He has since been released.
Following an investigation by the Crash Investigation Unit, about 9.10am today, a 45-year-old man was arrested at Dubbo Police Station.
He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous and negligent driving (occasioning death).
The man’s driver’s licence has been suspended. He was given conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on December 22.
