An investigation is underway following a daylight home invasion in the state’s Central Tablelands on the weekend.
Police say that just after 7am on Saturday, a man knocked at a property on Rockley Road, Rockley Mount, and asked the 82-year-old resident to use his phone.
Police have been told that while the man was using his landline, a second man arrived at the home, armed with a knife and with his face covered.
The men threatened the homeowner, demanding drugs and firearms before ransacking her home. They then fled in a small red sedan last seen heading towards Bathurst.
Police say the man was shaken but unhurt during the incident.
Officers attached the Chifley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
