Man, 55, killed in Mount Cotton crash

A 55-year-old man has died after a car and motorcycle collided at Mount Cotton in the early hours of this morning.

Police say that at around 1.20am today, a car was travelling southbound along Mount Cotton Road and collided with an oncoming motorcyclist.

“The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old Birkdale man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition and was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Mount Cotton man was not injured.
