Sea foam whipped up by days of wild weather on the Gold Coast has turned some local beaches into frothy wonderlands.
Children have been photographed playing in the bubbles, with the foam more than a metre in high in places.
Currumbin Beach Surf Club was swamped by the foam, with tourists and photographers flocking to the popular beach to get a shot of the unusual phenomenon.
“It’s incredible – once every few years we get this,” amateur photographer Ted Grambeau told 9News.
“I photograph a lot of the ocean so it’s a pretty spectacular occurrence.”
