The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Bongaree this morning that claimed the life of a 79-year-old e-bike rider.
Initial investigations indicate that the woman’s e-bike and a Ford Falcon were both traveling east on Goodwin Drive when they collided at around 8.30am.
“The e-bike rider, a 79-year-old Banksia Beach woman, died at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The driver and sole occupant of the Ford was not injured.”
Investigations are ongoing.
Witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage are urged to contact police.
