A 71-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a single-vehicle crash near Young.
Police say that at around 3.20pm yesterday afternoon, emergency services were called to Milvale Road, Berthong, about 30km west of Young, following reports a vehicle left the road and clipped a tree, before travelling into a paddock and rolling on its roof.
“On arrival, officers from The Hume Police District found the driver, a 71-year-old man, trapped,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“He was freed and treated at the scene for head and internal injuries, and multiple fractures, before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.”
