Dentist charged with indecent assault of patients

A 59-year-old dentist will appear in court today charged after he allegedly indecently assaulted two female patients at his clinic in Sydney’s inner south.

In June 2021, officers from South Sydney Police Area Command commenced an investigation after receiving a report that a 25-year-old woman had been indecently assaulted by a man while undergoing a dental consultation earlier that month.

“Following inquiries, a 59-year-old man was arrested at a dental practice in Mascot on Friday 11 June,” NSW Police said in a statement.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with two counts of aggravated sexually touch another person.

“Police received further information that a 41-year-old woman had also allegedly been indecently assaulted during a dental procedure at a surgery on Botany Road, Botany, in November 2016.”

Following further inquiries, the man was charged with an additional offence of aggravated indecent assault – victim under authority of offender on August 11.

He remains on conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today.
