A 70-year-old cyclist has died in a traffic crash in Biggera Waters.
Preliminary police investigations indicate that at around 4.40pm yesterday, the man has attempted to cross Oxley Drive near the intersection of Harbourside Court when his bicycle was struck by a car headed south on Oxley Drive.
The rider, a 70-year-old Gold Coast man, died at the scene. The female driver of the hatchback and her passenger were not injured.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
