A man and woman aged in their 60s have died after being pulled from the water in the Illawarra region.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 11.10am today, emergency services were called to Shellharbour Beach, Boollawarroo Parade in Shell Cove following reports two people were struggling in the water.
Members of the public pulled a 66-year-old man and 64-year-old woman from the water and commenced CPR.
A short time later, NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and continued CPR; however, the man and woman couldn’t be revived and died at the scene, Police stated.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
