A 79-year-old man has died after being hit by a four-wheel-drive in Bribie Island this morning.
Police say their initial inquiries suggest that just after 11am, the man attempted to walk across Eucalypt Street in Bellara.
Police believe his vision was obstructed by a parked vehicle and he was struck by the Holden Colorado as a result.
“Despite CPR being performed, the 79-year-old died a short time later,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Anyone with further information is urged to contact police. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.”
