Queensland Police last night tragically located the body of a 13-year-old boy who went swimming at Cedar Creek Falls yesterday.
The teenager was located by police divers with the assistance of swift water rescue teams just after 10pm.
“Preliminary information suggests the boy attended the falls with friends under adult supervision and entered the water just before 5pm,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“He failed to resurface.
“Police would like to extend their appreciation to their partners at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services – QFES and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) which assisted with the search operation.”
