Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 15-year-old boy with the fatal stabbing of a mother-of-three and the attempted murder of the woman’s three-year-old daughter and 70-year-old mother in a horror attack in Narre Warren South last month.
Victoria Police said today that the teenage boy had been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. He is expected to appear at a Children’s Court later today.
“The charges follow an alleged stabbing that occurred at a property on Springvalley Way on 30 November,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“A 70-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl were transported to hospital after they sustained serious injuries.
“A 42-year-old woman was flown to hospital but sadly later died.”
It’s understood the victim, Channa Tep (pictured), was stabbed at the front door of her home, before the boy then entered the home and attacked her child and 70-year-old mother in a bedroom.
The grandmother was able to call a family friend for help shortly before she was attacked.
