New leadership for Community Vision Australia

Community Vision Australia (CVA) has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive, with the organisation’s current Chief Operating Officer, Yvonne Timson, named in the role.

The not-for-profit assists Western Australians of all ages and abilities through home care, disability and family day care service programs, employing over 180 staff and servicing more than 1,000 customers.

CVA Chair, Phillip Thomas said, “Yvonne has been with Community Vision since July 2017 and is a very capable and proficient leader who always seeks continuous growth. We feel privileged and honoured to welcome her to her new role, leading the way for us as we continue to facilitate our customers to live life their way.”

“Given Yvonne’s substantial involvement in Community Vision’s journey to date, as well as her deep understanding of our customers and the sector in general, we are confident that the business will continue to flourish under this new leadership.”

Yvonne is an Associate member of the Governance Institute of Australia and says she believes that good corporate governance is the foundation of any successful organisation.

“My main goal for Community Vision is to continue to work towards a more inclusive community where people can live independently in their own homes for as long as possible,” she said.

“I truly believe that age, disability, or diagnosis should never be a barrier to living your best life. I am incredibly committed to this organisation and I am heading into this role with passion, accountability, and enthusiasm.”

Ms Timson will formally take over in the role on March 1.
