NSW Health has issued a scam alert after the discovery of a number of fake websites for booking COVID-19 vaccinations.
“Make sure to use the Eligibility Checker on the Australian Government website to book your COVID-19 vaccine,” NSW Health said in a statement.
It said the trusted Eligibility Checker will display the correct web address: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility with the security icon (below) to the left of the search bar which indicates a secure connection.
“We will never ask for bank, credit card or other payment details,” NSW Health said.
COVID-19 vaccinations are voluntary and free. Book an appointment safely and securely online if you are eligible: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility.
