After a long campaign by loyal fans of the classic Australian medical soap opera, The Young Doctors is about to be released on DVD.
Via Vision Entertainment is set to release the first 250 episodes of the iconic Aussie show of the 1970s and early 1980s on June 16.
The doors of the Albert Memorial Hospital will reopen on-screen for fans – as viewers relive the staff romances and personal dramas that were always more crucial than the medical cases!
Join heart-throb Doctors John Forrest (Alan Dale), Greg Mason (Mark Holden) and Graham Steele (Tim Page), female Doctor Gail Henderson (Peta Toppano), Sister Grace Scott (Cornelia Frances), Nurses Jo Jo Adams (Delvene Delaney), Lisa Brooks (Paula Duncan) and Jill Gordon (Joanne Samuel) as they work and play on the hospital wards before unwinding at Bunny’s Bar – run by Bunny Howard (Ugly Dave Gray).
The series due for release on DVD also features guest stars Abigail (Number 96) and a young Russell Crowe, check in for all the drama, romance and gossip – courtesy of Ada’s Kiosk (series stalwart Gwen Plumb) with the first year of The Young Doctor.
