Little Harpie doing her thing at the border – handing out lollies to hardworking police.
As Queensland’s border opened up today, a four-year-old girl has stolen the show at a Queensland Police Service media briefing.
Prior to speaking at the Griffith Street former border checkpoint site in Coolangatta, Chief Superintendent Mark Wheeler, presented a gift to the little girl, who has visited police on the border with her Nan every day since it closed to hand out lollies and thank police for keeping everyone safe.
Four-year-old Harpie was presented with a Queensland Police cap, shirt and stuffed toy police dog as a way of saying thank you for her kindness, friendship and generosity during what has been a trying time for hardworking officers at the border checkpoint.
