Dog park to be named in memory of Rambo

One of the Fraser Coast’s fenced off-leash dog parks is set to be named in honour of Police Dog Rambo, who was killed in the line of duty in June.

“Rambo was killed in the line of duty trying to keep us safe,” Fraser Coast Regional Councillor, Paul Truscott said.

“We should remember and pay tribute to his service. The memorial will also serve as a reminder of all other police dogs and police officers who have given their lives in the service of their community.”

After consultation with Rambo’s handler and the Queensland Police Service, Council will also erect a plaque in the same park in Rambo’s honour.
