Country music star, Toby Keith, has passed away at the age of 62 after a three-year battle with stomach cancer.
In a message posted to the musician’s social media, his fans were told he had died on Monday. The sad news coming after the star, whose legendary career saw him sell more than 40 million country records, was first diagnosed with cancer in 2022.
“Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time,” the online post stated.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tricia Lucas, their three children and four grandchildren.
