Legendary Australian television newsreader, Brian Henderson, has passed away at the age of 89.
Last year, he revealed he was battling kidney cancer – it was his fifth cancer diagnosis after having beaten melanoma, prostate, bowel and throat cancer over the years.
In an interview at the time, he said he had refused major surgery, preferring to instead “let nature take its course”.
Brian reportedly passed away with his wife of 48 years, Mardi, by his side.
He is survived by Mardi, his two daughters and five grandchildren.
