The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has announced that it will issue a special report on the COVID-19 pandemic in aged care ahead of its Final Report, due on 26 February 2021.
In a statement, it said the report would be delivered to the Governor-General on Wednesday, 30 September.
“It will contain specific recommendations from the Commissioners to expedite and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive measures to protect older Australians,” the Commission said.
It said following tabling of the report in Parliament, the report would be available on the Commission’s website.
No further details have been released.
