Australians can now receive a free flight to Alice Springs when booking eligible Red Centre holiday packages, with a major new campaign designed to make bucket-list experiences like sunrise ballooning, stargazing dinners and outback adventures more accessible than ever before.
Bookings are open now, with travel valid from August 2026 to January 2027.
ALICE SPRINGS, 26 July 2026 – Tourism Central Australia and Northern Territory travel specialists NT Now have today launched Fly Free to Alice, a new tourism campaign giving Australians the opportunity to fly to the Red Centre for free when booking newly launched Red Centre holiday packages from Holidays of Australia.
Travellers will receive a credit equal to the lowest available inbound economy airfare into Alice Springs at the time of booking, up to $750 per person, when booking before 30 November 2026, with travel valid from 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2027. The ‘Fly Free to Alice’ offer is funded from a limited pool and is available on a first-come, first-served basis – once it’s fully allocated, the free-flight offer will close, so travellers are encouraged to book early.
Available exclusively through NT Now and Australian retail travel agents, the campaign features more than 20 itineraries across Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, with packages starting from $1,049 per person twin share.
Travellers can choose from short escapes, arts and culture road trips, luxury getaways, wildlife adventures, solo itineraries and event-led holidays built around some of the region’s biggest events.
Experiences across the packages include sunrise hot air balloon flights over the outback, Earth Sanctuary stargazing dinners beneath some of the world’s darkest skies, sunset camel rides at Uluru, Sounds of Silence dining experiences, horse trekking adventures, watercolour painting classes at Simpsons Gap and immersive Aboriginal cultural experiences.

Tourism Central Australia CEO Danial Rochford said the campaign was focused on turning travel intention into action and helping more Australians experience the breadth of attractions available across Central Australia.
“Fly Free to Alice removes one of the biggest barriers to travel and allows visitors to put more of their holiday budget into what they’re actually coming here for – more nights on the ground, local experiences and discovering more of Central Australia.” Mr Rochford said.
“People come for the icons, but many leave talking about the places, stories and experiences they didn’t expect. It’s why so many visitors return to discover even more of the region.”
The campaign also coincides with some of the Red Centre’s most iconic events, including the Henley on Todd Regatta, Red Centre NATS, Desert Mob and the Alice Springs Masters Games, with dedicated packages available around key event dates.
NT Now and Holidays of Australia Group Managing Director Ben Mead said the campaign represented a unique opportunity for Australians considering a Red Centre holiday.
“We’ have developed a diverse range of itineraries that showcase the very best of Central Australia, from short breaks and event weekends through to extended touring holidays,” Mr Mead said.

Departures for the Fly Free to Alice campaign are available from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, subject to airline schedules and availability.
Bookings are open now and close on 30 November 2026 (unless sold out prior), with travel valid from 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Funded by the Australian Government as part of the Red Centre Marketing Boost Program, the campaign aims to make experiencing the Red Centre more accessible while encouraging more Australians to discover everything Central Australia has to offer.
