Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities has officially opened the doors to their highly anticipated Chevron Island project.
With luxury apartments starting at $840,000 and penthouses priced up to $9.35 million, the community is designed to combine the support of senior living with the indulgence of a five-star resort.
Odyssey founder Phil Usher says this is affordable opulence and there is simply nothing else like it.
“We’ve created the kind of community where any of us would feel proud to bring our parents here and say, ‘we’ve made the right decision’, and that’s incredibly important because moving into senior living is one of life’s biggest transitions,” says Mr Usher.
“What has been particularly rewarding is seeing how excited our new residents are and that’s not common in this industry and one comment we keep hearing is, ‘why didn’t I do this sooner?’
“There is simply nothing else that compares to this in Australia or the aged care space and it’s setting an excellent precedent within the industry.”

Consisting of 175 luxury apartments including nine penthouses and a 23-unit Memory Lane across a single 19 storey tower, Odyssey Chevron Island is expected to create 170 local jobs.
Luxury amenities include a 230-seat gourmet restaurant, swimming pool, piano lounge, cinema, wine cellars, beauty salon, concierge and lobby, gymnasium as well as onsite Allied Services and medical teams.
Mr Usher says the Odyssey model is a refreshing antidote within the aged care space and one that inspires confidence and excitement.
“Odyssey leads with a heart-centred approach and it’s a testament to what a lifestyle-orientated community can achieve,” he says.
“If you own your own home and you’re based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, chances are you can enjoy the Odyssey lifestyle, which secures your care, lifestyle and community for the future.”
Odyssey Chevron Island is located at 32 Mawarra Street Surfers Paradise, with another community located at Robina and a third in development at Hope Island.
The Odyssey model is built around a resort-style environment where couples stay together, pets are welcome, grandkids can have sleepovers and most importantly, the dignity, independence and well-being of residents are highly respected.
