Man sought over assault on woman in Toowoomba

Queensland Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist investigations into an assault of a 59-year-old woman at East Toowoomba.

Around 9.30pm on July 4th, Police say the woman was walking along Kitchener Street near a caravan park when she was approached from behind by a man who assaulted her, causing her to fall to the ground, before he fled the scene on foot.

The woman received minor injuries to her face.

Police would like to speak to a man described as having a dark complexion, with thinning brown hair and rats tails on his forehead.

They say he was wearing a dark coloured jumper and dark blue jeans.

The victim was wearing grey trackpants a pink coloured hooded top and gloves and green and blue shoes.

Police are appealing for the man, anyone who recognises him or has vision from Kitchener Street and Harold Lane between 9:30pm to 9:50pm on 4 July to come forward.
