Sydney’s Concord Hospital has been closed down as the facility deals with a growing cluster of COVID-19 cases.
There are now seven health worker cases linked to Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
The facility will remain closed until 10am Friday to undergo extensive cleaning
“All staff members diagnosed with COVID-19 are currently in isolation,” the hospital said in a statement.
“Those identified as contacts are being tested and isolating at home for 14 days.”
The hospital has confirmed that all staff on duty in aged care wards were now wearing full protective equipment and said there was no evidence of ongoing risk to patients.
There are now seven cases between the hospital and Liverpool Hospital, after an infected doctor with no COVID-19 symptoms, worked shifts at both emergency departments.
