Fly local, fly Pelican

As a local regional airline based in Newcastle, we are committed to keeping local communities connected.

We would like to pass on our sincerest thanks to all local communities who have continued to support our services as we are slowly seeing our operation grow in the post-COVID travel landscape.

We are currently operating services from Newcastle, Ballina (Byron Bay), Canberra, Sydney, Mudgee, Cobar, Taree and Port Macquarie.

We have completed an interior refurbishment of our entire fleet, consisting of five 19-seat British Aerospace Jetstream 32 aircraft – now also serving a selection of refreshments as you board including water, craft beer, wine and premium snacks on selected routes.

Don’t forget we have multiple large luggage compartments capable of holding most oversized luggage items – pack your golf clubs, surfboards, snow gear or even bring your furry friends with our pet carrying partner dog-tainers.

As travel begins to return to normal post pandemic, we have seen some exciting changes to our operation:

Easy International Connections

With the introduction of our extra International Baggage, connect to your international services out of Sydney with our 40 minute flight from Newcastle. Now with the free additional 10kg of luggage when you provide a copy of your international connection the same or following calendar day.

Why not make it an overnight connection and enjoy a glass of wine from the rooftop bar at Rydges Sydney International for a no stress start to your next holiday? (Free sign up for Rydges Priority Rewards for 10% off plus extras!).

Increased Services to Taree

From July onwards, we will now be operating flights between Sydney and Taree on Sundays, Wednesdays and now – Fridays! With flights operating in the morning and early afternoon, book your 60 minute now on our website with prices starting from $159 one way!

Twice Weekly Flights between Canberra and Port Mac

Operating on Thursdays and Sundays.

Multiple Flights Daily between Newcastle and Canberra

We are now operating up to three flights daily between Newcastle and Canberra, pending the day of the week. Check our Time Table on our website to see our increasing schedule between Newcastle and Canberra. Now connecting from Canberra through to Ballina via a quick transit in Newcastle, your luggage is checked all the way through and you have just enough time for a coffee.

Whether you are travelling for business,  pleasure, fly-in fly-out, or transporting freight, we can provide a solution to suit your needs at an affordable cost and will continue to be your local airline, keeping regional communities connected.
