Shining a Light on Seniors: Free Expos in Ipswich & Beaudesert

This October, Cuppa PLUS Inc. is proud to celebrate Queensland Seniors Month with two free Seniors Expos, shining a light on the important contributions of older Queenslanders while helping them connect with vital services.

The first Expo will be held in Ipswich at The Event Centre, Showgrounds Warwick Road on Wednesday 1 October, followed by Beaudesert at The Centre, Brisbane Street on Wednesday 22 October. Both events run from 9:30am–1:00pm and feature morning tea, local service providers, workshops, presentations from COTA Queensland, the West Moreton Older Persons Care Collaborative, and local Police, plus lucky door prizes. Lunch will be available for purchase, supporting Wounded Heroes (Ipswich) and Beaudesert Rotary.

Cuppa PLUS Inc., a registered charity based in Jimboomba, is dedicated to reducing social isolation in the Logan and Scenic Rim communities. Since June 2024, the organisation has supported more than 1,200 people through initiatives like Emergency Relief, Staying Connected weekly phone calls, the Energy4Seniors program, and its Dementia Warriors project.

As a grassroots, non-government-funded organisation, Cuppa PLUS continues to deliver programs that strengthen community connection and improve wellbeing.
