NSW Police dog, ‘Yule’ led officers to a suspected car thief hiding in bushes in the Borragul area on Tuesday.
Police say a stolen Toyota Hilux was spotted in the area by Highway Patrol officers.
The driver of the vehicle drew attention to himself when he was seen to stop, exit the vehicle and run off and then jump over a fence.
“PD Yule attended and commenced a track which resulted in the suspect being located hiding in the bushes and being arrested,” the NSW Police dog unit said in a statement.
Turns out the driver had been disqualified from driving until 2025.
He was charged with breach of bail, drive whilst disqualified and drive conveyance taken without consent. He was refused bail.
