Women, 50 and 59, with bikie links arrested in drug raids

Two women in their 50s with links to the Hell Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of ice.

In June 2020, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Ethne to investigate a criminal syndicate involved in the supply of illicit drugs – mainly methylamphetamine (ice).

Last month, four men – aged 28, 34 and two 32-year-olds and a 31-year-old woman – were arrested and charged for their alleged roles in the criminal group. Their matters remain before the courts.

“Subsequent search warrants that were executed as part of the investigation resulted in the seizure of firearms, prohibited weapons, cash and various prescription and prohibited drugs including more than 1kg of methylamphetamine (ice), with an estimated potential street value of $550,000,” NSW Police said in a statement today.

Following further inquiries, two women – aged 59 and 50 – were arrested outside Liverpool Local Court yesterday afternoon.

The pair were taken to Liverpool Police Station where they were both charged with participate in a criminal group, with the older woman also charged with the additional offences of possess prohibited drug and supply prohibited drug.

“Police will allege that both women contributed to the profits made by the criminal group through illicit activity,” NSW Police said.

Both women were bail refused to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
