A woman aged in her 60s has died after a tree branch fell on her in a busy street in Sydney’s south west.
NSW Police say that at around 1pm today, emergency services were called to Castlereagh Street in Liverpool, near Westfield shopping centre, following reports a tree branch had fallen on a woman.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene, but she could not be revived,” Police said.
“Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended the scene and have commenced inquiries.
“The woman is believed to be aged in her 60s but is yet to be formally identified.”
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
