A 55-year-old woman has died after Police believe she was tragically struck by her own car at Ulverstone on Monday.
Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Victoria and Reibey Streets about 6am, where a woman had been located unresponsive on the roadway beside a Ford Territory, Tasmania Police said in a statement.
“The woman was provided medical assistance but sadly died at the scene,” said Police.
Initial Police inquiries indicate the woman had stopped and exited her vehicle when it began to roll forward.
“Police are investigating the cause and preparing a report for the Coroner.”
“There are no suspicious circumstances.”
