A 63-year-old woman has died in a single-vehicle crash in the state’s south yesterday.
Police were told that at around 8.40pm on Sunday, a black Nissan Navara was travelling east bound on the Illawarra Highway at Mount Murray, when it veered off the road.
“Passers-by commenced CPR on the driver, a 63-year-old woman, until emergency services arrived,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Despite efforts to revive her, she died at the scene.”
The Illawarra Highway and Macquarie Pass were closed from Jambaroo Mountain Road, Robertson, to the Macquarie Pass, Tongarra, for a number of hours as a result of the accident.
