Police have arrested a 60-year-old man following the death of a woman in an alleged domestic violence incident in Sydney’s west today.
Police and emergency services were called to a unit on Nelson Street, Fairfield, around midday today following a concern for welfare report.
“A woman was found with multiple injuries and died at the scene,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“A 60-year-old man, known to the woman, was arrested at the home and has been taken to Fairfield Police Station.”
