Queensland Police have charged a 57-year-old woman in relation to an alleged serious assault on a man in Torquay last night.
It will be alleged that at approximately 5.11pm on Tuesday, an altercation occurred at a park on Bideford Street between two people, Queensland Police said in a statement.
“A 56-year-old Torquay man sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital.”
“A 57-year-old Torquay woman was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed,” Police said.
She is due to appear before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court, today.
