Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a woman following an aggravated burglary in Williamstown last week.
The 47-year-old woman was taken into custody at a Rockbank address about 11.45am yesterday.
She has been charged with aggravated burglary, intentionally cause serious injury, and other assault-related offences.
The Altona Meadows woman was due to appear before a court last night.
The charges relate to an incident where a 53-year-old man was allegedly stabbed during an aggravated burglary at his home on The Strand about 1.30am last Thursday.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
