An 80-year-old woman has died in a house fire at Campsie last night.
Just before 5pm on Tuesday, emergency services were called to a home at Evaline Street near Loftus Street at Campsie, following reports of a house fire.
“Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Despite the efforts of emergency services, an 80-year-old woman died at the scene.”
Two teenage boys – aged 14 and 16 – were evacuated from the home and are being treated by paramedics.
Officers from Campsie Police Area Command remain at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze, police said.
