A 53-year-old woman has returned a reading almost seven times the legal limit after she was arrested at Padstow overnight.
Witnesses called police after a sedan was seen swerving across traffic lanes on Henry Lawson Drive shortly before 7pm on Tuesday.
“After the vehicle hit a gutter, a tow-truck operator moved his truck to prevent the driver from leaving the scene and police were alerted,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Officers from Bankstown Area Command attended and arrested a 53-year-old woman at the scene.
“She was taken to Bankstown Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis, returning an alleged reading 0.342.”
The woman, from Padstow Heights, has been charged with high-range PCA and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on April 1.
Her licence has been suspended and confiscated.
