A 50-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital suffering serious injuries after being trampled after falling from a horse in Stanhope, east of Singleton.
Just before midday today the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance New South Wales to the rural property at Stanhope, following reports of that a female rider had suffered serious back injuries.
“Local Ambulance Paramedic attended the property and commenced treatment of the female prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team,” Westpac Rescue said in a statement.
“The Critical Care Medical Team assisted in treatment of the female prior to being stabilised and flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle in a stable condition suffering back and chest injuries.”
