A man and woman are dead and a girl has been left fighting for life after a horror head-on crash in Mount Richmond this morning.
“Emergency services responded to reports of a head on collision between a Jeep Cherokee and a Holden Trax on the Portland Nelson Road about 10.25am,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“The driver and front seat passenger in the Holden died at the scene and a female child in the rear passenger seat sustained life-threatening injuries.”
The girl has been airlifted to hospital.
The driver of the Jeep, a 50-year-old man sustained non life-threatening injuries and is currently assisting investigators with their enquiries.
