Police have arrested three people for allegedly lighting fires at Salisbury Park yesterday afternoon.
Police say that at around 3pm yesterday, Police and MFS were called to Harry Bowey Reserve after reports of a number of grass fires in the area.
“Witnesses reported to police seeing three people leave the scene of one of the fires,” SA Police said in a statement.
Police door-knocked the local area and were able to obtain CCTV footage.
“Officers identified the three suspects and located them in a vehicle nearby where they were subsequently arrested.”
“A 24-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, all from Salisbury Park, were charged with causing a bushfire. They were refused bail and are expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.”
