Channel Nine’s Today show threw a very special COVID-safe birthday party in Melbourne today – for Scotch College Melbourne old boy and Cumberland View aged care home resident, Bill Morgan, who recently turned 105.
“It’s hard to believe I’m 105 because I’m still so active in so many ways,” said Bill.
Bill was able to catch up with a few family members at the small celebration, along with other residents from Cumberland View, where he lives independently.
He received a special gift from his favourite AFL team – the Western Bulldogs – a jersey emblazoned with the number 105.
“I remember being with my father and two brothers at Richmond when the Bulldogs beat Essendon in 1924,” Bill reminisced.
When asked about the secret to his longevity, Bill said: “Have a goal…and get on with living – there’s so much that you can do to make this world a better place.”
Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Bill.
