A 57-year-old woman is one of three females set to face court charged with aggravated break and enter following an alleged home invasion in the Central West this week.
Police say that at about 9am yesterday, three women forced entry into a home on Smith Street, Coonamble and assaulted the occupant, a 23-year-old woman, before fleeing. The woman suffered minor injuries in the assault.
Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and commenced an investigation. Three women aged 57, 34 and 24 were arrested at homes throughout Coonamble later the same day and taken to Coonamble Police Station.
The trio were charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-use violence, aggravated enter dwelling with intent, enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm and common assault.
All were granted conditional bail to appear at Coonamble Local Court on November 17.
