ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACTESA) has announced the closure of the temporary Naas Road bridge over Gudgenby River.
In a statement, it said the temporary bridge in place at the site – set up for access during construction of a new bridge – had been inundated with flood waters.
“Local residents in this area will need to travel south on Boboyan Road, Shannons Flat Road and Mittagang Road to the Monaro Highway if they wish to travel to Canberra,” ACTESA said.
“Residents in the Naas Valley area who may be impacted by the low-level flooding can call 132 500 if they require assistance.”
ACTESA is reaching out to rural landholders who may be impacted.
