Victoria Police have charged two teenage boys in relation to two aggravated burglaries in Patterson Lakes earlier this week.
Detectives from the Southern Metropolitan Regional Crime Squad say the first incident took place at an address on Long Island Point at around 2.20am on September 24th, where it is alleged offenders stole a wallet, cash and two vehicles.
“The second incident took place at an address on Schooner Bay Drive just before 3am where it is alleged offenders gained entry to the home and stole cash and one vehicle,” Police said in a statement.
A 16-year-old Dandenong boy has been charged with home invasion, aggravated burglaries, theft of motor vehicles, possess cannabis and commit offences on bail.
A 17-year-old Doveton boy has been charged with home invasion, aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicles and theft.
They have both been remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.
The arrests form part of an ongoing investigation into a series of aggravated burglaries within the Southern Region, Victoria Police said.
