A second driver in as many days has been detected driving with altered plates in the northern suburbs.
Northern District Police were conducting a driver testing station on Main North Road at Salisbury Heights overnight, when they directed a Nissan sedan into the site just before 12.30am.
“Police quickly identified the front and rear plates had been altered with wooden characters affixed,” SA Police said in a statement today.
“Enquiries revealed the driver was disqualified and his car had been unregistered and uninsured since September last year.”
The 47-year-old from Stockport, was reported for driving disqualified, unregistered and uninsured and drive with unassigned plates.
His car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
