NSW Police have released further CCTV images of a missing 73-year-old Acacia Gardens man as part of a renewed appeal for public assistance to locate him.
Kenneth Hanes was last seen at a home on Chase Drive, Acacia Gardens, about midday on Tuesday.
Officers attached to Quakers Hill Police Area Command were notified when he later failed to return home. Despite an extensive search of the area he could not be located or contacted.
Police and family continue to hold serious concerns for Mr Hanes’ welfare due to his disappearance being out of character.
Kenneth is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of a solid build, with short grey hair and brown eyes.
As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives released CCTV depicting Mr Hanes’ boarding a bus at Wilson Street about 12.40pm the same day, travelling towards Blacktown Railway Station.
He is depicted wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt, dark coloured pants and brown hiking shoes. He was also carrying a black and red backpack.
Further inquiries have since revealed, Mr Hanes arrived at Circular Quay Railway Station about 2.30pm and boarded the 3.30pm Manly ferry, before boarding a returning ferry at Manly Wharf about 8.05pm.
He is depicted wearing a black jumper over a long sleeve blue check shirt, dark coloured pants, brown hiking shoes, and still carrying a backpack.
Anyone who may have seen or spoke to Mr Hanes or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Quakers Hill Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
