Queensland Police staffer, 60, charged with DV offences

A 60-year-old male staff member from the North Coast Region has been charged and suspended from the Queensland Police Service, in relation to alleged domestic and family violence offences.

The man has been charged with two counts of unlawful stalking, one count each of enter and commit a domestic violence offence and wilful damage, five counts of stealing and nine counts of contravene a Domestic Violence Order.

He is due to reappear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 19.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
