Queensland border to reopen from December 1

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has just announced that the border with NSW will reopen on December 1 after the state met Queensland’s 28-day case-free threshold.

“I know how hard this has been on families,” the Premier said while making the border announcement just minutes ago.

She said from December 1, Queensland’s border with NSW would reopen, with Victorians also set to be able to re-enter the Sunshine State.

“I have been in contact with the NSW and Victoria Premiers, and I have advised Daniel Andrews that if they meet that 28 days threshold tomorrow, the border will also be open for them from December 1,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
