Psychiatrist, 55, charged with sexual touching of patient

A 55-year-old psychiatrist has been charged with the alleged sexual touching of a patient on the state’s Central Coast earlier this year.

Officers from Brisbane Waters Police District commenced an investigation after a 37-year-old woman reported she had been sexual touched by a treating psychiatrist during a consultation at a medical facility in Woy Woy on February 28th.

“Following lengthy inquiries, a 55-year-old man was arrested when he attended Gosford Police Station today and has been charged with one count of sexually touch another person without consent,” NSW Police said in a statement.

He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on January 23rd.
